-POSITION INFO:An established and reputable farming enterprise in the Patensie area is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Production Manager to oversee and manage the technical functions of their citrus and greenhouse production operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring optimal crop performance, quality control, and compliance with agricultural standards.Minimum Requirements:A tertiary qualification in Agriculture or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar technical farming roleExcellent computer literacyStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsKey Responsibilities:Plan and monitor pest control programsDesign and manage planting programs for optimal yieldMonitor the quality and progress of greenhouse planting activitiesImplement and oversee cultivar trials and ensure product qualityManage procurement and application of fertilizers and pest control productsSupervise and develop technical staffManage compliance with farming audits such as Global GAP, Farming for the Future, DAFF, and SIZA EnvironmentalDevelop, implement, and train staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs)Draft and train on job descriptionsEnsure the application of disciplinary procedures when necessaryWork hours:Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 17:00 and weekends on a rotation basis.IMPORTANT:
