- Admitted, practising attorney with Right of Appearance in the High Court.
- Minimum 2 years post-article experience in banking litigation.
- At least 1 year staff management experience.
- Proficiency in English (additional languages advantageous)
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays if required.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Excel, email, PowerPoint etc.)
- Own transport and valid drivers licence.
- Professional, presentable, and reliable.
- Banking litigation across Magistrates, Regional, and High Court matters (debt recovery including credit cards, loans, vehicle & asset finance, home loans).
- Vetting of pleadings and notices drafted by candidates and support staff.
- Drafting, negotiating, and defending legal matters, with the ability to deal with escalated cases and opposing attorneys.
- Exposure to Excalibur (Version 4) is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Proactive problem-solving approach.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships and present in performance meetings.
