As an Estimator, you will be responsible for calculating and preparing accurate cost estimates for clearing and forwarding services. Your role will involve analyzing client requirements, assessing shipping costs, customs duties, and other related expenses, ensuring that competitive and profitable quotes are provided.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for clearing and forwarding services, including customs duties, freight costs, and other logistics-related expenses.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide timely and competitive quotations for clients.
  • Analyze client needs and shipping requirements to provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry rates, international shipping regulations, and customs tariffs.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Review and update estimates to reflect changes in market conditions or client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cost estimates and related documents.
Requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics as a subject (mandatory).
  • Minimum 7 years experience in the clearing and forwarding industry (multimodal).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding processes, customs regulations, and cost structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
