- Routine Maintenance - Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address issues before they escalate. This can involve checking and servicing equipment, or systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Repairs - Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning equipment, fixtures, or systems. Being skilled in troubleshooting problems and making necessary fixes to keep operations running smoothly.
- Safety Compliance - Ensuring that all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations. This includes identifying and mitigating safety hazards.
- Parts and inventory management - Managing an inventory of spare parts and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs. Ordering and restocking materials as needed to minimize downtime and ensure Salesforce tickets are actioned and closed in a timely manner.
- Collaboration - Working closely with other Stakeholders, such as engineers, electricians, or plumbers, to address complex maintenance issues that require specialized skills.
- Budget Management - Managing maintenance budgets efficiently by prioritizing tasks, sourcing cost-effective solutions, and reducing unnecessary expenses. Ensuring the procurement process is always adhered to.
- Documentation/ task tracking - Maintaining records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repairs, and replacements and stock control.
- Upskilling - Continually upskilling and gaining expertise in order to minimize the amount of work that needs to be outsourced to contractors.
- Assist with any Campus related queries, tasks and/or issues and take action within your scope of responsibility.
- Assist workplace team with event setups
- Assist Logistics officer with errands such as purchases and collections on an adhoc basis
- Matric pass
- Minimum 2 Years routine maintenance work experience
- Ability to use common tools such as drills,hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches
- Experience with measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
- Eye for details with strong organizational skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity (need to be able to lift and carry heavy items)
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Has a valid Drivers License
