
Packaging Manager

- Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Departmental Manager in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Alternatively, minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Team Leader in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and people development experience.
- Strong knowledge of plant operations, production systems, and packaging machinery.
- Experience implementing strategic programs such as TPM.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.
- Proficiency in budget management, planning, and performance monitoring.
- Ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare training needs analysis and develop training plans accordingly.
- Monitor training effectiveness and ensure expected results are achieved.

- Apply recruitment, compensation, and development policies.
- Conduct performance reviews for all subordinates.
- Manage the packaging process in line with company rules, standards, and procedures.
- Monitor product and process parameters to meet specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality Department and utilize statistical tools for improvement.
- Facilitate internal audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Minimize extract losses and ensure adherence to sampling plans.
- Support “lean” operations and implement productivity improvements using TPM.
- Ensure proper plant maintenance and operation according to manuals and schedules.
- Apply formal failure analysis tools such as 5Why and Breakdown Analysis.
- Manage and update process modifications and manuals.
- Drive implementation of strategic programs such as TPM.
- Support the integration and utilization of business systems.
- Develop capacity plans in collaboration with management to meet future production demands.
- Propose and support investment projects to enhance quality, continuity, capacity, and productivity.
- Assist in project implementation and installation processes.
- Ensure adherence to production and packaging schedules.
- Deploy resources in a cost-effective manner.
- Maintain adequate packaging and auxiliary material stock levels.
- Assist in departmental budget preparation.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and take corrective action as required.
- Communicate financial results to team leaders for alignment and ownership.
- Reduce extract losses and process waste.
- Support compliance with wastewater treatment protocols.
- Promote water and energy conservation initiatives.
- Contribute to the Energy Saving Program.
- Ensure packaging operations comply with safety regulations.
- Enforce the correct use of PPE.
- Implement and manage Safe Work Permits where necessary.
- Oversee contractor safety in collaboration with the SHE team.
- Promote and support accident registration, investigation, and housekeeping standards.
- Support the company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Facilitate and participate in TPM teams and pillars where applicable.
