We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to drive our market expansion and sales initiatives. This is a pivotal role for someone with deep industry knowledge who is passionate about introducing cutting-edge nano technology to diverse industrial sectors. You will be the key interface between our advanced product and the markets (potential)we will serve.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve significant revenue and market share targets within South Africa.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within key target sectors: Paints & Coatings, Plastics, Adhesives, Sealants, Rubber, and Printing Inks and cementitious products.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at manufacturing plants, R&D departments, and procurement offices.
- Provide expert technical consultation to clients on the application and benefits of nano precipitated calcium carbonate in their specific formulations and processes.
- Conduct compelling product presentations, technical demonstrations, and solution-based selling.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
- Travel extensively throughout the assigned territories to meet with clients and prospects,within South Africa.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of proven B2B sales or business development experience within the calcium carbonate industry or a closely related industrial minerals sector.
- Non-negotiable requirement: Demonstrable, extensive experience in the application of calcium carbonate in at least two of the following industries: Paints & Coatings, Plastics, Adhesives & Sealants, Rubber, or Inks.
- A strong existing network of contacts within the target industries and regions is a significant advantage.
- Technical proficiency to understand client formulations and effectively communicate the value proposition of nano products.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a remote role.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
