Minimum Requirements:
  • Millwright red seal.
  • Plant level experience with proven maintenance management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Overall, Purpose of the Role
  • Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
  • Responsible for planned scheduling and timely completion of work carried out.
  • Increase plant operational effectiveness, reduction of mean time between failures and downtime.
  • Manage and implement improvement plans, ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
  • Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department.
  • Must be able to respond to calls 24/7 for relevant matters that impact production. Key Responsibilities General and Task Management × Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site. × Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximising plant utilization and reducing unplanned downtime.
  • Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift supervisors.
  • Ensure routine maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automation/programming systems are undertaken.
  • Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions. ×
  • Produce written reports.
  • Perform root cause analysis and propose/resolve problems. Identify improvement opportunities
  • Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements. Maintenance Millwright
  • Manage, coach Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
  • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them.
  • Provide technical expertise to the team.
  • Liaise and ensure an effective interface with the operating team.
