Structural Engineer (Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal)

• Collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineering disciplines to develop structural designs that meet project requirements and codes.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software and tools.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations.
• Prepare and review technical reports and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with local and national building codes and regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and support staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 8 years of proven experience in structural engineering.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as AutoDesk products, Prokon, MS Office and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with bridge design, bridge inspections is a plus.
