  • Invoice Processing - receive, verify, and process invoices, ensuring they match purchase orders and supplier statements.
  • Record Keeping - maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all account payable transactions.
  • Capturing Creditors Invoices to correct departments and accounts
  • Assisting Procurement with purchase order capturing
  • Assisting with any capturing in the Finance department, AP, Expenses and Non-Stock items.
  • Assisting Stores departments and other departments in obtaining invoices from suppliers.
  • Obtain Statements from all Suppliers for monthly payments timeously and give to Accounts payable Controller.
  • Reconciling Accounts - reconcile supplier account balances and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Payment Preparation - provide documentation for payments to suppliers, ensuring they are made within the agreed-upon terms.
Skills:
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Syspro), data entry, and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles: A basic understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and accounts payable processes is essential.
  • Time management: Accounts payable roles often involve meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation: Understanding of relevant financial regulations and accounting standards is important.
  • Confidentiality: Maintaining the confidentiality of company and vendor information is crucial.
Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Diploma/Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 2 3 years experience in similar field
