Employment Type: Full-Time, RemoteAbout the CompanyA fast-growing U.S.-based investment and operations firm is seeking a skilled accounting professional to join its expanding finance team. The company oversees multiple investment funds and manages a diverse portfolio of e-commerce brands. As the firm continues to scale, it requires a dedicated individual to take ownership of critical financial operations and streamline accounting workflows across several entities.The OpportunityWe are hiring a Remote Accounting Manager or Controller to support and enhance the firm's financial infrastructure. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for managing the accounting functions of five separate entities, coordinating accounts payable processes, maintaining investor communications, and improving overall financial efficiency. The successful candidate will step into a hands-on role with significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape accounting processes as the organization grows.This is a single hire, but we are open to candidates at two distinct experience levels to ensure the best match.Option 1: Accounting Manager (Mid-Level)Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entitiesOversee accounts payable and manage the bill payment processHandle investor portal data entry and basic communicationsMonitor finance-related inboxes and ensure timely responsesPrepare regular internal financial reportsCollaborate with the CFO on accounting processes and continuous improvementQualifications:3+ years of accounting experience, ideally with multi-entity bookkeepingStrong proficiency in Excel and general organizational systemsExcellent written and spoken EnglishExposure to fund accounting or e-commerce is a plusCPA preferred but not requiredOption 2: Controller (Senior-Level)Key Responsibilities:Lead the full accounting function across five active entitiesOversee accounts payable, vendor payments, and reconciliation processesManage investor portal content, updates, and communicationSupervise finance-related email correspondence and investor inquiriesPrepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and performance reportsSupport the CFO with financial strategy, compliance, and investor relationsIdentify and implement operational improvements across financial workflowsQualifications:6+ years of progressive accounting experience with multi-entity oversightCPA certification strongly preferredProven ability to independently manage complex accounting systemsExperience in fund management and/or e-commerce accounting is highly advantageousExceptional communication skills in English (both verbal and written)Additional InformationThis is a fully remote position requiring consistent availability during U.S. Eastern Time hoursCandidates must demonstrate fluency in English and comfort communicating with U.S.-based stakeholdersImmediate availability is strongly preferred due to ongoing growth and workloadTo Apply:
