Work set up: HybridOur client in the global professional services industry is looking for a Capital Procurement - Sourcing Specialist to manage various contracts from cradle to grave, as well as the interface between the Project, Contracts and Capital Procurement teams. This entails the formulation and pursuit of the department's strategic objectives, the creation of a performance-orientated climate and support necessary for capital procurement, and the contract lifecycle management of all contracts with all relevant stakeholders in the capital procurement and project environment.What you will do:Systems Utilisation
- Produce accurate performance reports for the capital procurement department.
- Ensure competitive, well-understood systems and procedures across the team.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports for management and other stakeholders.
- Maintain alignment of procurement systems with organisational requirements.
- Safeguard company records, documents, and statistics.
- Facilitate system inputs for vendor adjudication and engagement.
- Monitor data integrity, contract performance, and efficiency opportunities.
- Continuously update area-specific databases.
- Identify appropriate vendors and commodities.
- Attend pre-tender meetings to clarify requirements with bidders.
- Apply relevant commercial conditions to procurement activities.
- Create and issue enquiries to the marketplace.
- Evaluate tenders, conduct commercial adjudication, and lead negotiations.
- Issue adjudication results and communicate with successful and unsuccessful bidders.
- Establish contracts or place purchase orders via ECC.
- Participate in tender committees ensuring ethical processes.
- Monitor market rates and legislative changes to mitigate risks.
- Manage contract adjustments for currency fluctuations and escalations.
- Ensure resolution of procurement-related queries.
- Uphold company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Build strong working relationships with engineering, process, geology, mining, finance, treasury, and IT teams.
- Promote positive departmental image through cross-functional meetings and supplier engagement.
- Ensure continuous information flow to all relevant parties.
- Identify and implement initiatives to reduce costs, improve productivity, and eliminate waste.
- Support change management efforts and business improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to safety regulations, participate in inspections, and report hazards.
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
- Degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Project Management (NQF 7 equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in capital projects procurement.
- Strong commercial knowledge of mining commodities and capital/project procurement.
- In-depth understanding of contractual procurement processes.
- MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP.
