Senior Electrical Engineer

• Lead, manage, and coach less experienced engineers and technicians.
• Develop specifications, design basis documents, functional specifications, and design reports.
• Perform and oversee electrical calculations and analysis.
• Participate in concept identification, development, and trade-off processes.
• Manage and oversee design and detailed engineering activities.
• Provide engineering support throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with national, international, and client-specific standards for safety and electrical engineering.
• Manage project design teams, providing input, feedback, and technical support.
• Ensure compliance with configuration management systems.
• Assist with the development of engineering procedures, standards, and departmental policies.
• Support the preparation of tenders and quotations when required.
• Compile electrical work packages to ensure successful project execution.

• B. Tech / B. Sc / B. Eng degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
• 5–8 years of relevant electrical design experience.
• Background in Mining, Oil & Gas, Mineral Processing, or Heavy Engineering sectors.
• Ability to lead subsystem discussions and evaluate competing solutions.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and line management for a small team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel when required.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• CAD literacy (AutoCAD, E-Plan, or similar).
• Own reliable transport.
