Job Summary Description:
Hire Resolve's Client is urgently looking for an experienced HSE Officer to join their mining company based in Gauteng.Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, Environmental Management Act, and other applicable legislation.
Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits across mining operations.
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and compile detailed reports with corrective actions.
Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE training for employees and contractors.
Promote a strong safety culture by driving awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
Monitor and manage environmental aspects, including waste management, pollution prevention, and rehabilitation measures.

Requirements:

Grade 12
BSc Degree in Environmental Science/Earth Science
SAMTRAC Certificate
5 years' experience as an HSE Officer.
Knowledge of OSHA, MHSA, Primary Environmental Acts and Regulations in South Africa.
Valid Driver's License
