Forklift Service Technician

• Basic Salary - R 28 500.00 per month.
• Company cellphone to be provided
• Overtime and standby allowance to be paid as and when earned

• Provident Fund- Company contribution of 50% (5% employee, 5% employer) After 6 months of employment.
• Medical Aid- Company contribution of 50% After 6 months of employment

• Perform planned services on Forklifts and components to supplier standards and customer requirements.
• Understand and implement preventative maintenance.
• Identify and target opportunities for customer’s work in 45 chargeable customer hours per month.
• Fault finding.
• Assemble IC and Electric machines in accordance with company standards.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of containers.
• Partake in stock take as and when required.
• Complete the PDI process and sign off new machines.
• Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies & procedures.
• Quickly and efficiently diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services, and maintenance on forklifts on customer sites or at the site.
• Provide mentorship to apprentices assigned to you.
• Maintain professional image when representing the company
• Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
• Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
• Adherence to any reasonable instruction.
• Encourage sales of new forklifts, parts and hire among clients.
