The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and willing to make a significant contribution to the Faculty.The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (EMS), offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that educate students across academic units, including Accounting, Economics, Finance, Industrial Psychology, Information Systems, Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS), Institute for Social Development, Management and Entrepreneurship, Political Studies and School of Government.We currently seek a self-motivated, committed, competent, suitably qualified individual to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will assist with all administrative procedures, in order to ensure alignment and compliance with central administrative systems and procedures.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibility areas:
Act as Personal Assistant to the Dean,
Office co-ordination and diary management,
Handling of office correspondence,
Internal and external client liaison,
Budget administration including budget control and procurement,
Travel arrangements,
Events administration and coordinating workshops, team-building exercises and training interventions,
Developing and maintaining systems to support information management and preparation for meetings,
Ensuring an efficient filing system,
HR administration as it relates to the Dean,
Performing any other administrative duties as may be assigned by the Dean.
Minimum Requirements
Matric/ Grade 12 and at least a post-matric qualification at NQF level 6,
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a secretarial/personal assistant position,
Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
Added advantages:
Candidate who worked in a similar secretarial/personal assistant position at a higher education institution
A Bachelor's degree at NQF level 7.

Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and without supervision
