The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government (WCG) has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to administer applications for operating licenses. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 1 year administrative support experience in an operating license processing working environment.

Key Performance AreasRender support with the processing of operating license applications; Perform communication duties; Coordinate attendance of committee hearings; Render effective utilisation of the PTRS System; Render supervisory functions.
CompetenciesKnowledge in the following: National Land Transport Act (Act No.5 of 2009); Road Transportation Act (Act No. 74 of 1977); Western Cape Road Transportation
Amendment Law Act (Act No. 8 of 1996); National Land Transport Regulations of
2009; Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions, guidelines; Processing of applications for
operating licenses; Preparation of cases and the presentation thereofff at adjudication meetings; preparation of cases for the cancellation of operating licenses; Information and Record Management/Administration; Understanding in how to notify operators of renewals.Skills needed: Numeracy; Literacy; Computer Literacy; Written and verbal communication; Project Management; Accounting, Finance and Audit; Economic, Financial and Statistical Analysis; Legal Administration; Reporting ; Problem-solving; Planning; Organising; Research; Ability to work under pressure; Willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
RemunerationR 325 101 - R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
