- Grade 12 Matric.
- Certification in Vehicle Tracking or relevant
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Fleet Administration
- Previous vehicle tracking experience
- Maintain and look after the tracking station assigned to during the shift.
- Record information for database in respect to the location and identification of vehicles and destinations.
- Assist in providing data to evaluate driver performance.
- Monitor fuel consumption and check fuel cards.
- Process accident claims and any insurance administration.
- Ensure all policies relating to fleets are updated and available for all distribution staff.
- Track and update vehicles movements and locations by use of various tracking applications/systems.
- Co-ordinate and respond to emergency situations.
- Monitoring Vehicle driver performance
- Monitor and report any truck deviating from route and/or stopping in NO-GO zones
- Monitor and follow up on breakdowns on route.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and operations personnel regarding alert actions etc.
- Revise and distribute changes to the Safety Program to managers, supervisors and drivers as necessary
- Report any vehicle tracking units not working to the relevant department.
- Compile and present any ad-hoc reports as requested by Management.
- Instantly report on delays, failures and breakdowns.
- Compile and collate investigation reports submitted for management.
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of tracking systems.
- Makes timely, informed decisions that take into account the facts, goals, constraints, and risks.
- Formally delivers information to groups.
- Promotes cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables. Interacts with people effectively.
- Sets up an appropriate quality review process and audits the work of others to ensure procedures are followed.
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and achieves results with little oversight.
- Computer skills (Microsoft- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Frequent travelling and spend most of the time driving.
