- An External Sales Representatives is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients.
- Duties may include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers
- Calling or contacting potential clients and current customers to establish and maintain a professional relationship.
- Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
- Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company products to new and existing customers.
- Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales. Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
- Researching competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions. Keeping up to date of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.
- Manage a clients projects and accounts from beginning to end.
- Forecasting and planning monthly for products based on customers needs, and new projects thats being worked on.
- Coordinate with sales or support team in JHB, so that the customers expectations are met.
- Planning and overseeing old and new marketing initiatives.
- Assist all teams to meet financial targets and growth objectives.
- Product or business development within the business for strategic planning.
- Reaching targets and growing targets year on year.
- Overall responsibility for financial matters including budgets, sales targets on yearly basis.
- Contribute to training and development of the team in areas that parties may not know.
- Comply with all requirements within the business.
- Direct and utilize agreed systems to manage the commercial activities, functions, analysing, documenting direct the development of plans for commercial activities, to include customer management, to achieve satisfactory targets.
- Reporting (content and format as agreed) weekly, and Month End Reports.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and place under one drive.
- Control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls Eg fuel and entertainment.
- Adhere to all organization policies and procedures.
- Interact and co-operate with all members of the organization, and clients/customers.
- From time to time, you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role even where these fall outside your own department/team.
- You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with the board of directors. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organization generally.
- Role is part of the whole organization team and as such requires you to perform such reasonable tasks that are required as and when necessary, to maintain, promote, develop and expand the business of our organization and its interests generally.
