Lamination Machine Operator - GautengFull job descriptionPURPOSE OF ROLEResponsible for operating and maintaining the Lamination machine. Ensures safe operation of equipment including necessary maintenance and documentation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Inspect all equipment before using the machine.2. Ensure safe operation of the laminator.3. Sets up the laminating machine in line with operational procedures.4. Ensures that the machine and the working area is always kept clean.5. Ensure that correct material, tools and equipment are stored neatly and safely in the correct areas.6. Ensure that all chemicals in-use are kept in the right areas.7. Ensure that your workstation is cleaned before the start of the next shift.8. Checks Job cards & Labels with calculations order for production.9. Runs the laminator solvent based/solvent free and the heat laminator.10. Serves as a slitting machine operator at both plants when there is no work on the laminator.11. Monitor slitting of product during operations, and quality checks during an entire process.12. Ensure that all safety and quality checks are done.13. Escalates any deviations to the Manager.14. Perform Line clearance & confirm the conclusion of order.15. Work in a cost – effective manner with as little wastage as possible.MININUM CRITERIA· Minimum Matric/Grade 12.· At least 1 year experience in a similar role in manufacturing.· Strong technical expertise in a machine manufacturing environment.· Good understanding of Safe Material Handling Requirements.· Problem-Solving & Time management skills· Good communication and teamwork.· Commitment to safety and quality standards· Computer skills required.ATTRIBUTES AND SKILL· Strong communication skills.· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Good work ethics & the ability to deal with pressure.· Ability to follow instructions & meet the physical demands of the job.· Ability to work efficiently under pressure.· Strong time management skills.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R8 000,00 - R10 000,00 per monthApplication Deadline: 2024/03/22
