Job Summary Monkey Thorn Lodge & Wellness Spa, White River is looking for an assistant manager to join the team when we re-open in September after our refurbishment. Assistant manager. Live In The position is to assist the manager in all of the day to day duties and running of the lodge and be in charge on the managers' day off and in the managers' absence. You must be hands on and assist in reception, restaurant, housekeeping, bar and hosting duties towards the guests, as well as lead and motivate the team. Shifts are varied and split between 6.30am to 9.30pm and on call outside these hours for emergencies. The candidate must be over the age of 30 and have held a managerial position in the hospitality industry for at least three years. You must have a code 8 clean driving license and a police check will be required. Non-smokers only and person of sober habits or an occasional drinker will only be considered as the accommodation is non smoking. You must be able to prove you are in good physical and mental health and two references from previous recent employers must be supplied and be contactable.
