TURNER MACHINIST - POTCHEFSTROOMFull job descriptionWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORManufacture components using conventional lathe and CNC Milling machines as per the designsMeasure and certify all machined parts, including outsourced componentsModify and machine incomplete outsourced components from suppliers to required tolerancesEnsure integrated parts fit together according to required tolerancesGive tooling design inputs where necessaryMachine and manufacture parts and components from raw materials into finished products, using different types of material i.e., Brass, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, etc.Do surface and cylindrical grinding activitiesCompile BOMs to order material and sparesWHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVEGrade 12/ N3 Technical qualification or equivalent.Trade Test as a Turner MachinistOver 5 years experience in conventional Milling machines as an operator & setterOver 5 years experience in CNC millingturning Machines (Fanuc controls)Over 5 years experience in the use of conventional latheCNC programming knowledge and experience will be advantageousCNC competency certificate will be advantageousKnowledge of Edge cam software will be advantageousAn in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing environmentContract/contractor management knowledge and skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience in planning and implementation of work activitiesGood understanding of explosive environment regulationsInterpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsComputer literacy: MS Packages and SAP
