POSITION: Financial Assistant

REPORTS TO: Finance ManagerA family wine estate company is looking for a seasoned Financial Assistant to support the Finance team at the Head Office. The ideal candidate is someone with good numeracy skills, strong attention to detail and a hardworking attitude.Job Requirements:

Minimum Education Finance Diploma / N6 with Accounting
Additional Qualifications Strong computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, Accounting software)
Minimum Work Experience 5yrs Financial Assistant Experience in a Finance Department.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

Processing of transactions (Sales & purchase invoices & bank statements)
Bank reconciliations.
Payments
Debtors & creditors reconciliations
General Admin support

Personal Attributes and competencies:

Accounting experience and understanding with commercial acumen
Ability to meet deadlines / excellent time management skills.
Good organizational, administrative and clerical skills
Competent user of Word, Excel, Accounting software & Internet
Accuracy and superior attention to detail essential
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to liaise with people at all levels of the company and to external suppliers.
Integrity, honesty
Problem solving skills, analytical skills and critical thinking skills.
Positive attitude
