  • At least 4 years of relevant management experience in a 5-star establishment
  • Any relevant qualifications would be an advantage
  • Excellent spoken and written English (other languages an advantage)
  • Detail-oriented and guest-focused
  • The ability to motivate staff to deliver
  • Ability to think and act creatively with a team
  • Good knowledge of hospitality operations, including butler service, housekeeping, and laundry
  • Computer skills
  • Passion for creating fabulous guest experiences
  • Excellent team player, relates well to others
Key responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily interaction and communications with in-house guests to lead and develop a guest-centric hospitality culture
  • Ensuring all organizational requirements around delivering an exceptional guest experience are planned and executed daily
  • Ensure the company's standards are always maintained in all areas that make up the guest experience
  • Create an environment where the company culture is fostered
  • Support to the Lodge Manager - In setting and executing on all operational plans and strategies to be determined for the lodge
  • Ensure that controls and systems are in place to ensure the sustainability of the business as well as conserving the company's resources
  • Relief for the Lodge Manger when on leave
  • Hosting alternative nights
  • Taking the lead on groups
  • Form part of the management team, be reliable and lead by example
  • Assist in maintaining a good working relationship with the government bodies
  • Assist in placing and monitoring all lodge operational stock orders
