Job Title: Private Wealth ManagerJob Family: Financial Advisory, Wealth Management, Sales, Client ServicingCareer Stream: Financial Advisory / Wealth ManagementType of Work: Wealth Management responsibilities for High-Net-Worth clients, including new client acquisition, client servicing and portfolio management.REPORTING STRUCTUREWhat role would this job typically report into: Regional ManagerJOB PURPOSEIn this role, you'd be required to meet with prospects and clients, conducting detailed financial analysis in order to determine opportunities for clients with regard to their personal wealth portfolios, retirement planning, insurance, education planning and estate planning. To make detailed recommendations in respect of aforesaid opportunities, taking cognisance of each client's risk profile and financial needs. Creating and implementing an ongoing service plan to ensure client portfolios are regularly monitored and relevant modifications timeously executed.ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSales:
  • Contacting potential clients and setting up initial meetings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, prospecting, and networking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Promoting and selling financial products to meet negotiated sales targets.
  • Build and maintain client bases, keeping current client plans up-to-date and recruiting new clients on an ongoing basis.
  • Design product functionality with reference to available solutions as per Carrick's product and investment guide. This should include a functional mechanism for determining the most appropriate solution as well as cost-effective implementation for both the business and the client
Client Servicing:
  • Contact clients on a quarterly basis to determine if there have been changes in their financial circumstances and provide feedback on current portfolio status.
  • Ensure exceptional client servicing by understanding customer needs, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct regular meetings and reviews with key clients to assess satisfaction levels and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Reviewing and responding to clients' changing needs and financial circumstances.
  • Contacting clients with news of new financial products or changes to legislation that may affect their savings and investments.
  • Monitor financial market trends to ensure that plans are effective, and to identify any necessary updates
Financial Planning
  • Always act in the best interest of the client by providing unbiased and professional advice.
  • Analyse financial information obtained from client/clients to determine strategies, and products and recommend solutions to help clients meet their financial objectives/goals
  • Producing financial reports through the means afforded to them.
  • Protect, secure and grow clients' wealth by providing independent, expert local and offshore financial advice, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax planning.
  • Research and investigate available investment opportunities to determine whether they fit into financial plans.
  • Providing investment opportunities across a broad spectrum of regulated products.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of investment, risk, retirement and estate planning alternatives in various domiciles with reference to cost, investment restrictions, tax implications (both local and cross border) and drawdown alternatives.
Risk Management
  • Completing client risk analyses.
  • Acting within the scope of the regulatory requirements of the FSCA.
General
  • Honour all meetings and engagements.
  • Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation. i.e. attending product provider meetings.
  • Learn and develop with regards to Financial Services and continued study and development with accredited institutions.
EDUCATIONEssential Qualification: CFP / CA(SA) / CFA or other applicable industry-relevant qualificationField of Study: Finance/Accounting/LegalCertifications: Regulatory Representative Certification (RE5)EXPERIENCETotal number of years' experience: minimum 10 years' experience in the financial services industryType of experience: 5 years of wealth management experience
