JJOB PURPOSE, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPurpose of the jobThe role provides technical accounting and tax related services to the company and SPVs in order to achieve high level reporting requirements.The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the financial reporting of the business, the preparation of annual separate and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant legislation. The role includes providing technical tax and IFRS opinion on the impact of investment transactionsYou will assist the investment team with valuation and due diligence of new investments and of current valuation of portfolio assets.Skills relevant to the job include the education and/or experience, specialised training and competencies required by the incumbent to be able to perform the job in accordance with specified expectations:Technical or core knowledge/skill Required

Technical understanding and keen interest of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Understanding and implementation of SA Taxation

Understanding Companies Act

Management of Audits

Maintaining financial records, analysing balance sheet and general ledger accounts

Budgeting

Experience in preparation of financial statements using Caseware

Understanding of Hyperion, Sage X3 ERP system, SARS Efilling

Qualification/sB.
