
Application Support Specialist

- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for critical business applications.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data accuracy, user access, and performance.
- Use Microsoft SQL and MySQL to query databases and assist with reporting needs.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and implementation teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Assist clients with basic application setup and workflow configurations.
- Maintain and update the internal knowledge base for support procedures.
- Support software testing, deployments, and upgrades.
- Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to enhance system reliability.
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken) – non-negotiable.
- 1–2 years in application support, IT support, or a customer-facing software role.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills (Microsoft SQL & MySQL).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira.
- Exposure to the supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing sectors is a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Understanding of software deployment processes.
