Position Overview Seeking an energetic and commercially astute New Business Development Manager (NBDM) to drive sales growth and market expansion for our range of industrial Power Transmission Products, including gearboxes, motors, variable speed drives and related solutions. Duties and responsibilities: Identification of new business opportunities on an ongoing basis with specific focus on developing new OEM and Project business Identifying, analysing & ranking new customers in terms of their class, application and current and future business potential Setting up medium- & short-term call plans to ensure effective management of customers Executing your call plan ensuring existing customers are actively serviced and new opportunities & sales leads are properly followed up Actively following up your sales performance to ensure sales budgets are met Attending marketing & sales functions as required from time to time; Measure, monitor and report performance against the short and medium business targets, direct corrective action where appropriate to achieve optimal revenue performance and market share growth Business strategies and/ or plans needs to be transferred into sales priorities and measured sales performance communicated Monitor the national sales performance against strategic objectives by regular sales management reviews to ensure that objectives are fulfilled, and any required corrective action is taken in an efficient and timely manner Maintain an extensive network of internal and external contacts to ensure that the division is optimally placed in its understanding of business, economic, political, and commercial challenges, and opportunities. Critical success factors for the position: Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across target sectors, nationally Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and margin targets through the implementation of the business development strategies as defined by HQ Sectors and Regional Sales markets A strong result driven work ethic for the achievement of targets and budgets Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and activity reports Develop and maintain the company brand image and its market share Lead the complete sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and closing Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential stakeholders In-depth and updated knowledge of local markets and the competitors Maintains compliance with the guidelines received by the HQ Sales Sector Teams and the Country Manager.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred); 10+ years of sales or business development experience in industrial power transmission or related mechanical/rotating equipment markets Strong technical understanding of Industrial Power Transmission product, specifically gearboxes, motors and variable speed drives; In-depth knowledge of the product for pre-sales recommendation & equipment selection and after sales service Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Willingness to travel domestically as required.
