Job Summary DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN - LEVEL 1 This is a field position and will require to you to drive to clients to provide IT support. • Support includes Windows desktops, Apple Mac's, Windows Servers, cPanel Web Servers, cPanel email servers, basic printer support, LAN support, WAN support. • Collection of stock from suppliers when required. Delivery of stock to clients. (Only if necessary) • Firewall support - Basic • Preparation of documentation • Website changes - Basic TECHNOLOGIES YOU WILL WORK WITH: • Windows Desktop operating systems (Windows 10 and above) • Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2008 and above) • Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online • Microsoft 365- Basic Level • Microsoft Azure - Basic Level • Amazon AWS- Basic Level • Web Servers / VPNs / FTP Servers • Firewalls QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS YOU NEED: • A+, N+ or equivalent technical IT qualification • Knowledge of Networking concepts like DNS, DHCP and protocols like SMTP, POP3, IMAP, HTTPS • Network troubleshooting using tools such as PING, TRACERT, NSLOOKUP • Working IT knowledge of IT Systems within a business environment • Good communicator with good interpersonal skills, punctuality and honesty. • Ability to take instruction over the phone. • Ability to resolve client issues timeously • Ability to update tickets and documentation timeously.
