We offer a market related, Total Remuneration Package which allows full flexibility according to your needs, a great work environment and a promise that you won't be bored as long as you are prepared for a challenge and want to build something great.The position reports to the National Planning and Procurement Manager.Your responsibilities will include:Financial reporting:Prepare DC monthly income statementPrepare DC month end journals to ensure all cost allocated accuratelyPrepare cost variance analysisProcess all DC invoices for payment and maintain a real time overview of expenses versus budgetParticipate in annual budget process and long-term planningMaintain the purchase order tracking tool to control all expenses to align with approved budgetPrepare and present reports/dashboards on trends, issues and solutionsPlanning: Workforce ManagementDevelop and maintain monthly, weekly, daily staff plans and schedulesCalculate resource requirements for the DCCoordinate temporary staff requirements in line with approved DC planPropose cost reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity.Manage and maintain the relationship with Temporary Employment Services providers.Hold regular meetings to align and engage all departmental managers to the approved planMaintain and update SOPs to align with current business practiceManage and escalate weekly/monthly exceptions against planned outputs and timelinesProcurement:Design and manage internal and external processes, standards and SLAsProcure all consumables in line with the agreed plans and schedules, place orders and process all documentationProcure packaging materials in line DC with requirementsManager the relationship with current suppliers and co-ordinate the purchase order processing and delivery of goods and services.participate in RFP and RFQ for DC resource and service requirementsDC Administration:Responsible for the DC administrationProvide data driven insights and recommendations to improve workforce efficiency and qualityDevelop continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity and customer services.Coordinate and report on Zendesk ticket resolutionQualification and experienceBCom or Btech Accounting/Cost Accounting/LogisticsMinimum 5 years relevant experience within DC operationsPeople management experiencePrevious experience with WMS systems such as Oracle, SAP, Logfire or similarHigh level of proficiency with MS Office packagesPrevious experience in mini project management advantageousComfortable with change and excellent team playerComfortable with learning and adapting to new systemsOwn Transport preferableSkills and AttributesAnalytical, good organiser and facilitatorAbility to influence people, consult and facilitateSolutions-oriented, can-do attitude; self-motivatedAttention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and spokenComfortable with complexity and adaptingTolerant to pressure, and a fast paced environmentStakeholder engagement across all levelsAbility to respectfully and professionally challenge status quo
