- Oversee monthly close processes and reconciliations for US and European entities.
- Prepare and review monthly management packs for non-South African entities.
- Analyse budget vs. actual performance and provide actionable insights.
- Perform impairment assessments on EMIs, goodwill, and investments at fair value where required.
- Prepare US tax return schedules and ensure alignment with filed returns.
- Draft and review US GAAP accounting memos to support technical positions.
- Authorise payments through the online banking platform.
- Prepare and monitor monthly payment schedules for US and European entities.
- Circulate weekly exchange rates to group entities.
- Review and prepare monthly group consolidations.
- Tie in annual and quarterly financial statements with external announcements.
- Support the preparation and review of financial disclosures.
- Record minutes of financial and operational meetings.
- Support the business with additional financial management tasks as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA(SA)/CPA preferred).
- 5–7 years’ experience in financial management, ideally within a multinational environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and international tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial consolidation processes and accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative approach, able to work effectively across different teams and regions.
