Please note that this position is based in The Middle East, relocation, accommodation and additional benefits apply.We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Chemical Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. As a Chemical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing processes to optimize production and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of chemical processes, and a commitment to safety and sustainability.Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing chemical processes based on raw materials and final product requirements.
  • Conducting research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes.
  • Analyzing process data and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including chemists, engineers, and technicians.
  • Troubleshooting issues with production processes and providing technical support.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Optimizing process controls to improve product quality and consistency.
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation and operating instructions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in either Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering discipline from a reputed/recognized university.
  • Proven experience in chemical process design and development, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry in a similar project engineering capacity within an engineering and construction environment.
  • Previous experience of interfacing with engineering and construction contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, kinetics, and fluid dynamics.
  • Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for chemical manufacturing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
