Ivanplats is looking for a Senior Construction Manager X 1 REF:IVP-SCM-001IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this mine of the future. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

Minimum of 10 years experience in construction management
Track record of successfully sinking shafts
Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and contractor teams
Experience in managing construction projects in the mining industry (preferred)

Your successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

Oversee and manage all construction activities from planning to completion
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project success
Manage resources, including labour, materials, and equipment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams and contractors
Ensure timelines are maintained and achieved
