The role of the Storeman includes the management of stock and equipment.The role involves but is not limited to the below responsibilities:
  • Create a new Bin location
  • Transfer parts from internal locations to valid locations
  • Daily verification and resolve queries from all customers
  • Physical receipt of all local and imported parts and goods
  • Verify materials received against supplier delivery notes/invoices/computer prints
  • Receive stock onto the system utilizing a scanner
  • Attach GRV’s to correct stock
  • Resolve receiving queries
  • Shelve parts and materials in the correct location utilizing material handling equipment
  • Safekeeping of warehouse stocks
  • Maintain warehouse equipment
  • Dispatch rejected parts to local suppliers
  • Prepare stillages for dispatch
  • Adhere to Housekeeping, Health, and Safety rules
  • Attend to required office administration
  • Attend to daily material equipment checks.
Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum Requirements:
  • National Diploma or Higher Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 1-year experience working in consumable stores issuing parts and creating MS Part numbers
  • Minimum 1-year general Maintenance/Consumables stores in an automotive environment
  • Knowledge of SAP consumables
  • Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
