- Effectively manage customer communication by recording and promptly acting upon customers' complaints, queries and requests.
- Actively building relationships with customers by identifying new growth opportunities in the liquor category (e.g., in store customer tastings).
- In accordance with the PRIMO on pre, during and post call procedures.
- Effectively execute sales levers in accordance with the quarterly KPI requirements as specified by management.
- Effectively execute order taking and processing, which is to be done on handheld technology and email.
- Effective execute cycle brief, trade marketing activities and other operational requirements from National Operations Manager and as per activations in relation to channel segmentation.
- Ensure that expired stock is managed efficiently and effectively (FIFO).
- Ensure that all sales targets are achieved.
- Ensure that all stock on hand issues within the store are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
- Effectively utilise free stock for trade marketing activity, ensure management of the stock allocation as per National Operations Manager requirements and trade marketing expectations.
- Effectively execute product changes. Ensuring the drive around new product listings as well as effective product introduction, product change to be carried out as per Management requirements.
- Effectively execute trade visits, which are to be done as per Business requirements.
- Calling customers in accordance with the agreed call cycle and meeting the expected hit rate of 90%.
- Assisting new customers in opening new accounts as per client requirements.
- Ensuring the availability of brands as per business requirements.
- Ensuring the implementation of RSPs for relevant brands.
- Collect and manage customer information pertaining to contact details and accurate segmentation.
- Collect information and report / feedback as per operational or National Operations Manager requirements.
- Submit required reports and documents to respective department.
- Manage and take care of company issued assets including car, laptop and handheld devices as per SOP.
- Manage travel time, petrol usage and other allowances within the company standard.
- Ensure continuous development and up-to-date industry knowledge and competence.
- Make yourself aware of the dress code and expect code of conduct.
- Assist with the renewal of APSO yearly membership and/or any additional professional staffing certification to continuously promote professional standards.
- Adhere to all MPS-related policies and procedures and ensure best practice approaches in role.
- Facilitate open and effective communication and promote cross-functional and cross-company collaboration thereby contributing towards a diverse and productive work environment.
- Address and resolve conflicts within the team to maintain a healthy work environment.
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management or Food and Beverage management (NQF level 6).
- 2 - 5 years sales and merchandising experience in a related FMCG environment.
- Valid driver's license.
