Millwright/Mechanical Foreman (Permanent) - Cape Town North

• Building, assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
• Converting and altering shipping containers as per project requirements.
• Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
• Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
• Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
• Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
• Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members
• Assist in general operational tasks

• Relevant technical qualifications
• Relevant industry experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical plans.
• Good team management skills
• Good communication skills
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items when needed
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Willing to work flexible hours and occasional overtime
• Valid driver's license and forklift operator license
