Factory Production Manager - Cape TownFull job descriptionA vacancy exists within our Company for a Factory Production Manager. We are looking for an someone who has initiative and drive and can work under the pressure of handling several major fabrication projects simultaneously. A hands-on approach is required across all disciplines in Production Management in an Industrial/Fabrication setting.QualificationsDegree/Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Production/Operations Management or equivalent.Sound Technical/Engineering/Steel fabrication background and drawing interpretation.Experience10 years in a Fabrication/Engineering environment, 5 years in a supervisory capacity in a “Jobbing Shop” type steel fabrication environment with a solid track record in people management.Sound knowledge of Production Planning and Scheduling of ResourcesAbove average computer literacy.Microsoft Office SuiteERP systems (e.g. Syspro or SAP)Conflict handlingConfident and experienced engagement with Union shop stewards.Project Management basicsProposals and estimating basicsGood administrative and communication skillsResponsibilitiesPlanning, organising and controlling production processes.Managing project and fabrication shops resource requirements.Preparation and control of shop budgets.Adherence to the Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).Motivate, develop and coach factory supervisory team.Ensure adherence to company and customer policies and procedures.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R30 000,00 - R50 000,00 per monthEducation:Bachelors (Preferred)Experience:fabrication/engineering environment: 10 years (Preferred)steel fabrication: 10 years (Preferred)ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 knowledge do you have: 4 years (Preferred)people management: 5 years (Preferred)Location:Cape Town, Western Cape (Required)
