Valid drivers license (Code EB or higher)Perform land and construction site surveys, including topographical, boundary, and as-built surveys. * Set out construction projects, ensuring alignment and levels meet project specifications.
- Accurately measure and record data for analysis and project planning.
- Utilize and maintain surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS systems, and levels.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure survey results align with project requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports, maps, and documentation for stakeholders.
- Ensure all surveying activities adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in field measurements and project designs.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Civil Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Leica or Trimble systems.
- Strong mathematical and technical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to construction sites as required.
- Registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., SAGC or equivalent).
- Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations.
- Experience in roadworks, earthworks, and large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
