With a culture that values curiosity and excellence, this is a place where ideas are welcomed, and people are empowered to make an impact.As a Financial Accountant, you will add value by strengthening financial controls, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger through to trial balance. You will play a key role in supporting financial reporting and compliance, while contributing insights that reinforce the organisation’s financial backbone and drive efficiency across the business.Excited about this opportunity?   • Manage creditors and debtors by processing invoices, reconciling accounts, issuing fee invoices, and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Oversee payments by loading new suppliers, validating tax invoices, ensuring correct allocations, and processing within agreed terms.
  • Handle month-end processing in Pastel, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of management accounts in line with IFRS.
  • Support financial reporting through accurate forecasts, consolidations, and providing inputs for the Head of Finance.
  • Perform VAT reconciliations and submissions, liaise with SARS, and assist with provisional tax and annual return requirements.
  • Coordinate payroll and employee benefits, while assisting with FSCA compliance submissions, policy updates, and training requirements.
  • Partner with auditors and key stakeholders, ensuring accurate reporting, timely query resolution, and strong working relationships.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom degree (Accounting)
  • Honours in BCom Accounting an advantage
Experience:
  • External audit articles (SAICA)
  • 2 years finance experience in a similar role
  • Tax knowledge beneficial
  • Proficient in Excel, with the ability to develop and maintain accurate, reliable spreadsheets
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Hands-on experience working with Sage Pastel or Sage One accounting systems
  • Familiarity with IFRS and IAS standards and their practical application in report
