They are currently supporting the Western Cape Government Department of Infrastructure (WCGDoI) with programme delivery, oversight, and professional engineering expertise.Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on projects within the WCGDoI programme. You will be responsible for:Programme & Project ManagementOversee the full life cycle of allocated projects.Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and cash flow.Manage consultants and contractors appointments and performance.Maintain accurate documentation and filing.Ensure compliance with JBCC and NEC contracts.Conduct professional reviews of mechanical and fire design stage reports.Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans and regulations.Assist with Auditor General audit preparation and responses.Administrative & Operational SupportMaintain accurate records and updated project data on internal systems.Provide administrative and project-related support as required.Escalate project risks or challenges in a timely manner.Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of project deliverables.QualificationsBSc/ BEng Mechanical Engineering.PrEng/PrTechEng ECSA .SkillsKnowledge of CIDB, PROCSA, fee scales, and consultant appointment processes.Experience with JBCC and NEC contract administration.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ethical.Ability to follow procedures and work with accuracy and focus.Goal-driven and committed to achieving quality outcomes.Project/Programme management experience is advantageous.
