Shift Mechanical Fitter Fiber Plant - Springs

• Conduct inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions.Disassemble machinery, equipment, and devices to gain access to, and repair or replace, malfunctioning parts.

• Reassemble machinery and equipment upon completion of maintenance or repair work.

• Execute routine maintenance tasks, such as checking drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, replacing filters, and other preventive maintenance activities.

• Identify mechanical issues and determine corrective actions, consulting blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs when necessary.

• Verify the functionality of equipment post-repair to ensure it is operational and ready for use.

• Document maintenance and repair activities, providing detailed reports and records to the Supervisor.

• Oversee and adhere to the schedule of maintenance programs or repair tasks assigned.

• Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and housekeeping protocols

• Red Seal Certificate as a Mechanical Fitter with N4-N6

• At least 5 years of experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) setting, with a preference for candidates having over 10 years of experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of the operation and maintenance of mechanical machinery.

• In-depth knowledge of transformers, vacuum pumps, rotors, and ovens.

• Capable of independently diagnosing issues, dismantling, and reassembling machinery.

• Strong assertiveness and a focus on achieving results.

• Technically proficient with the ability to identify problems and devise solutions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to manage stress and maintain productivity under pressure.

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing will be considered an asset
