As the Sr. Program Manager for Retail Operations & Initiatives (RO&I), you will have an opportunity to help develop local e-commerce and delight customers with the expansion of Amazon's world-class selection. You will partner with business, operations, and technology teams across the business to drive new initiatives aimed at eliminating, automating, or streamlining process that will unlock scale. - Developing the vision and strategy for new Amazon initiatives that will help to scale growth in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Collaborating with partner teams to define and implement automated solutions that scale
- Gathering and analyzing data to uncover opportunities to further improve the experience
- Driving thought leadership, leading cross-functional projects, and owning the communication to senior leaders on highly strategic initiativesWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Cape Town, ZAFBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy, definition and end to end product deliveryPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
