- Establish ideal inventory levels by applying appropriate inventory models
- Calculate stocked inventory purchases based on minimum stock assumptions and expected material usage
- Actively compare available inventory levels to expected and actual requirements and develop plans to expedite stock orders to avoid stock-out
- Play a key role in ensuring stock accuracy / integrity
- Procurement
- Place orders with local and international suppliers
- Expedite orders
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Participate in developing a supplier risk management strategy
- Develop and maintain company procurement policies
- Orders are complete
- Logistics
- Manage logistic arrangements to import stock effectively
- Develop and facilitate an inventory tracking system that provides accurate updates on expected inventory deliveries
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize logistical effectiveness and cost
- Key Deliverables
- Maintain optimum stock levels
- Ensure stock is available when it is required
- Optimize the logistical supply chain:
- Minimum supply delivery period
- Minimize logistical costs
- Minimize unplanned purchases

- Qualifications
- Matric | Grade 12
- Inventory and procurement qualifications will be advantageous
- Experience in inventory important

- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
- Working with Sage 200 Evolution
- Ability to develop procurement models using advanced excel skills
- Experience in the fenestration industry will be advantageous but not be a requirement
- International procurement from Europe will be advantageous
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
