- Enforce and monitor adherence to HSE cardinal rules within the department.
- Report unsafe conditions (USACs), near misses, incidents, and injuries immediately to Line Manager and SHEQ.
- Conduct safety inspections of devices such as emergency stops, speed monitors, rope switches, and Castell key units.
- Ensure proper application of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures before starting any work.
- Work collaboratively with the SHEQ Officer to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure risk assessments are reviewed and followed before each shift begins.
- Perform lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and repairs of machines and equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and conduct installations both onsite and offsite (e.g., admixture sites).
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
- Install and troubleshoot vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and conveyance equipment (e.g., fans, pumps, bearings).
- Maintain electrical plant equipment integrity at 97% uptime.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and submit reports on the same day.
- Ensure all weighing equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Inspect and maintain lighting systems to comply with legal requirements.
- Clean strainers, check flexible piping, and inspect tank conditions at offsite locations.
- Support the planning and execution of maintenance schedules, including plant shutdowns.
- Assist with spare parts management by recording usage and ensuring timely replenishment.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and inspections as required.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and ensure corrective actions are implemented in real-time.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure continuous improvement in equipment reliability and process efficiency.
- Maintain 5S standards in designated work areas.
- Assist in the maintenance of laboratory and utility equipment such as generators and transformers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
- Trade Test: Millwright / Electrical
- Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance
- Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Competency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies
- Basic supervisory and management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
