Staff Supervision:
- Assigning duty rosters for Front Office, Housekeeping, and Night Audit teams.
- Ensuring staff maintain a neat appearance and correct attitude.
- Providing instructions and solutions to the team.
- Engaging with guests individually, actively addressing their requests and concerns.
- Maintaining data integrity in line with regulations and company policy.
- Handling check-ins and check-outs, and resolving guest complaints promptly.
- Ensuring night procedures are maintained according to company standards.
- Managing incidents occurring at night until resolution.
- Providing oversight and guidance to the Housekeeping team.
- Ensuring high cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Providing oversight and guidance to the Front Desk team.
- Ensuring smooth operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries.
- Adhering to revenue handling processes.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Maintaining staff performance standards through proper management.
- Handling HR matters and disciplinary procedures.
- Note: The responsibilities and duties outlined above may be subject to change as the needs of the hotel evolve.
- Rotational day shifts, including weekends.
- Previous experience in the hotel industry with a strong knowledge of Cape Town.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to enhance service standards throughout the operation.
- Excellent communication skills with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of delivering outstanding guest service and effective time management.
- Ability to organise, plan ahead, and manage workload efficiently.
- A collaborative and self-driven individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team of staff members.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
- Excellent computer skills, specifically using Google and Internet applications.
