- Ensure IT strategy and cybersecurity alignment to RMAs requirements
- Identify problems and opportunities and address them accordingly.
- Develop and oversee the digital and information strategy of the group in line with digital transformation principles, information technology principles and business strategies to achieve its different business objectives
- Provide strategic direction to the group and the team to drive the digital transformation agenda of the portfolio, delivering fit-for-purpose and future-fit solutions
- Drive the creation of a digital enabled organisation, designed to innovate, scale and flex
- Drive the implementation of the digital strategy, operating model, IT architecture and IT services
- Ensure effective decision-making on strategic digital and IT matters, and providing strategic guidance and solutions that directs the organisation in a way that does not compromise
- Identify opportunities to leverage digital technology enablers to optimise business performance and increase efficiencies
- Measure ROI on digital initiatives, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure we're investing in the right tools and resources. the integrity of the IT ecosystem.
- Direct the creation and review of an enterprise capability strategy to support the strategic requirements RMA (identify business benefits of alternative strategies)
- Direct development of enterprise-wide architecture and processes which ensure that the strategic application of change is embedded in the management of the organization
- Ensure compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions, setting strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
- Align IT risk management with organisation-wide risk management
- Interact with senior management team to monitor and validate the organizations compliance with information security policies; play a key role in defining these policies
- Ensure compliance with applicable security requirements and standards
- Ensure integrity and security of data and systems; direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan, as well as continually assess and provide guidance on cybersecurity threats and risks and providing appropriate mitigation options.
- Forge and maintain strategic partnerships and relationships with internal and external clients
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between different departments and provide regular updates to senior management on IT operational performance
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure implementation of standard processes and procedures
- Ensure that business is provided with continuous support and that there is ongoing adherence to processes.
- Develop forecasts based on organisational plans and budgets
- Present proposals for large expense items e.g. replacement of capital and non-capital resources
- Develop objectives for project-based process improvements which:
- Reduce costs
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Improve the working environment
- Ensure the development of an operational budget considering organisational strategic needs for increased growth and sustainability and to ensure the availability and management of resources to meet organisational objectives
- Ensure adequate maintenance of accounting records
- Monitor actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and projects
- Influence the use of the approved budget through the management of the appropriate stakeholder
- Proactively management of potential fraud by use of data and analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering or business-related qualifications
- Post graduate degree in Business, Digital Transformation, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Strategy or related field of study
- MBA preferred
- 10 - 12 years' experience managing complex technology solutions, digital and process improvement
- 5-7 years' experience within financial services environment would be an advantage
- 5 years' experience managing and leading a digital team
- Proven track record of leading and executing successful digital transformation projects
- Exposure to agile methodology, technology architecture, integrating systems and providing technology services to multiple business partners
- A deep understanding of Digital transformation, including a deep understanding of industry trends and new digital innovations
- Stakeholder Management
- Knowledge of business policies, processes and procedures, legal compliance.
