ON BOARD COMPUTERS (OBC) SUPERVISOR - KZNFull job descriptionThe candidate will coordinate tracking activities and generate tracking reports and stats required by Contract / Operation Manager.Implement transportation health and safety, and security programs and activities.Participate in incidents investigations to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.Remain current with latest transportation technology systems and proceduresEnsuring drivers complies with all transport policies, legislation and procedures.Ensuring drivers stick to the route defined by the company and report any deviations to management.Monitor driving speed, driving time, routes and rest stops of drivers.Track traffic conditions and advise BVOs when they are at their rest stops.Capture BVO duty and driving times daily.Review all tracking reports and tachograph and feedback to fleet controller, contract manager, operations manager and Driver trainer.Attend driver safety meetings, tool box talk and quarterly HSSE committee meetings.Provide OBC data / reports for HSSESupport and Identify remedial training required for BVO.Coach/counsel drivers regarding their driver scores.Supervision of trackers - training, drafting monthly tracking rosters and job observation.Monitoring and administration of trucks/BVOs on Mix telematics.Assigning trucks and drivers to routes on the DRM (Daily Route Management) system as per customer requirements.Conduct on-site trucks OBC functionality tests (Rovi, Voice-kit, Panic button) and reporting defective components to service provider.Monitoring daily driving time and driver behavior through Mix telematics and record the information.Compile weekly and monthly truck fuel consumption reports for operations.Compile fleet performance reports (Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly)Capture all Emergency incoming calls, record data on emergency log.Champion Journey Management pillar for Customer Auditsprogramming driver tagsSupport staff on IT.CompetenciesComputer LiteracyFamiliar with MixTelematics systems and reportsStrong interpersonal and people management skillAbility to work with people at various levels within the Organisation and externallyTransportation Safety awarenessTransport OperationsUnderstand and interpret tacho-charts and tracking reportsJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
