- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of BI tools and software.
- Help ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
- Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and database management.
- Assist in creating and managing reports and dashboards that provide insights and analytics for decision-makers.
- Analyse user ad-hoc requests and requirements under supervision.
- Document proposed functional and technical solutions using required templates.
- Help develop test plans.
- Conduct integration testing to ensure solutions meet quality standards.
- Support user acceptance testing cycles to ensure sign-off is obtained.
- Assist business users with BI tools and reports.
- Provide timely status updates to users and ensure appropriate escalation when required.
- Assist in optimizing the performance of BI systems to ensure fast and reliable access to data.
- Work with team members throughout the project life cycle.
- Use Agile methodology to help deliver stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure good working relationships by maintaining a helpful and professional attitude
- Build trust by delivering on commitments as per SLA's
- Notify appropriate audience in event of failure and take corrective action where appropriate
- Service ad-hoc extract and report requests efficiently and effectively by analysing the requirement, designing and developing the solution and ensuring it is of the required quality
- Action administrative ad-hoc requests as per agreed SLA's
- Trace the cause of failure within existing software and make recommendations on how to rectify so that the cause is eliminated
- Follow naming standards, templates and quality criteria as per governance framework
- Discuss & share lessons learned during optimization of processes
- Identify additional areas where information sharing will be beneficial, e.g. try to tie in with development plan and leverage on existing skills within the team
- Communicate with team to promote reuse of software components within the team
- Grow knowledgebase in depth and breadth of Nedbank CIB processes, systems and products
- Support and encourage staff to participate and support corporate responsibility activities
- Minumum 1 to 3 years of experience in Data Warehouse Methodology and Data Analysis.
- Experienced at Data Extract / Transform / Load
- Experience with database concepts and SQL, PL/SQL
- Acceptance of existing development standards and contribution to refine existing standards
