- Drive the development and implementation of a fully integrated brand plan(s) across brand, channels and regions.
- Support the Marketing Manager with brand strategy, planning, content development & execution
- Utilize consumer, customer and shopper insights to inform brand strategy and execution
- Build a brand plan aligned to Southern Africa portfolio strategy and strategic growth objectives
- Manage the commercial overview, brand income statements, product costing, marketing spend elements and benchmark costs – designs and runs own promotional effectiveness
- Understanding of brand and category product knowledge
- Drive execution of the Brand Plan
- Develop internal and external relationships and networks with organisational focus to resolve brand performance issues.
- Creates and manages the brand digital strategy
- Develops digital campaigns and programs with bold, consumer-centric, thumb-stopping content and experiences that are amplified through digital and social channels to create engagement
- Relevant marketing qualification
- Minimum 5-7 years relevant marketing experience on brand execution, ideally across a range of categories/FMCG’s
- Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and sound presentation skills
- Experience in agency procedures is preferred
- Experience in budgetary control and cost control management
- Excellent project management skills & experience
- Sound understanding of the difference between qualitative and quantitative research and when to use which appropriate research method
- Be present at all activations and events
- Solid understanding and contribution to demand forecasting accuracy
- Knowledge of SAP CRM as a planning and management tool for brand activity will be advantageous
- Full knowledge level of digital marketing
