Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Artisan Boilermaker. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering.
Minimum requirements:
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
· Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
· Valid Section 26 Boilermaker Trade Certificate through a registered body
· Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
· Valid Code EB driver’s licence
· Good communication skills in English
· Able to solve problems within agreed standards, policies and procedures and job planning skills
· Team leadership and management skills
· Sound listening communication skills
· Self-motivated self-starter with high levels of initiative
· Able to make decisions within agreed parametersSuitable candidates must have the following work experience:
· 1 year’s mining industry experience (underground and surface)
· 1 year’s trade experience as Boilermaker
· At least 5 years’ experience working in a Fabrication workshop
· Must have a sound understanding to read and interpret engineering drawings
· Experience in repairing TMM frames and buckets
· Experience in shaft steel construction work
