The Operations team are searching for a Reliability Engineer to join our business located in Richards Bay, KZN.Reporting to the Reliability Maintenance Manager, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for driving an optimal asset management strategy to achieve safe and reliable plant operation.Profile Requirements:BSc Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree / B-Tech in Mechanical/ Electrical EngineeringGovernment Certificate of Competency is advantageousRegistration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA will be preferableCertified Maintenance & Reliability Professional or Certified Reliability Engineer will be advantageousExperience:4 years’ experience as a Mechanical or Electrical in heavy industry environment2 years applicable reliability engineering or asset management will be advantageousExperience within the Pulp & Paper industry will be beneficial Key Performance Areas:Maintain updated equipment long term plan and risk registerOptimise maintenance strategies on equipment/process levelRoot cause failure analysis and closeoutSet goals and achieve Maintenance KPIsCreate focussed reliability improvement programsSupport quality managementUnderstanding of maintenance principles and strategies is essentialAccurate reportingAsset criticality assessmentMaintenance Tactic developmentLifecycle AnalysisThis appointment will be made in line with our Employment Equity Plan.The above advert has minimum requirements listed, however Management reserves the right to use additional/relevant information as criteria for short listing.
